Greentube continues to expand in Swiss regulated market; inks content deal with Grand Casino Basel online brand Golden Grand

After recently making its debut in the regulated region of Buenos Aires City, Austrian game developer Greentube has further expanded its global footprint, taking its online slots content live with Golden Grand, the online brand of “highly regarded” Swiss land-based operator Grand Casino Basel.

The move helps to reinforce the Novomatic Interactive division’s role in shaping Switzerland‘s fast-growing gaming market. And will see goldengrand.ch customers gain access to a range of classic titles from Greentube, as well as premium Novomatic titles, including the ancient Egyptian-themed Book of Ra deluxe, player-favorite Lucky Lady’s Charm deluxe and another wildly-popular game with Swiss players, Super Cherry 5000.

Officially licensed in August 2021, Golden Grand has already established itself as a leading presence in the European country’s regulated market, providing its players with a broad range of gaming verticals, including slots, live casino, table games and more.

Key market presence:

In a company news release, Lisa Sandner, Greentube’s Sales & Key Account Manager for Switzerland, commented on the alliance, stating that the deal is the latest example of their “leading presence” in what has become one of theirmain markets.”

“I am both excited and happy to see this latest partnership, which shows the growing trust in our products across Switzerland. Grand Casino Basel is a highly regarded operator in the market and we look forward to a long and successful alliance.”

Since first entering Switzerland’s newly reorganized online casino market in October 2019, the Vienna-headquartered supplier has secured a myriad of partnership deals with operators, leading the way in a sector that has in recent years seen strong growth.

The Austrian company received the green light from Switzerland’s gambling regulator ESBK (Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission) early in 2019 after acing the ISO (International Organisation of Standardisation) audit. Soon after, Greentube became one of the first suppliers to go live in the Central European country’s newly regulated online market, launching its games with mycasino.ch by Grand Casino Luzern. The debut building on the success of its brick-and-mortar business.

Explaining the significance of the partnership, Adrian Schiesser, Divisional Director of GOLDEN GRAND, said…

Buenos Aires City debut:

Meanwhile, just last week the Austrian game developer launched a selection of its best performing slot titles with Swedish online gaming company Betsson in Argentina in a deal that further strengthens the long-standing partnership between the two businesses.

In addition to its player-favorite online slots, for the first time, the operator’s customers in the regulated region of Buenos Aires City also have access to Greentube’s bingo vertical, which has proven extremely popular with local players.

The Novomatic Interactive division has experienced a period of strong global growth, having made its way into multiple new markets last year spanning Latin America, Africa, North America and Europe. And in addition to Argentina,  has done well in other Latin American regions including Colombia and Paraguay, where players enjoy the supplier’s titles from brick-and-mortar casinos.
